3 stars only because the gear case is not aluminum like all other hot racing transmissions from hobby stores. Everything fit nice so I can live with it.

I didnt expect this gearbox to be so silent. I built a new transmission for my Proline Pro2 using this case and mostly stock Traxxas parts with all steel gears. It is quieter than the new Proline Pro Transmission and was a little cheaper to build. Be sure to use thread lock on the screws attaching the aluminum A-arm plates to the chassis.

Good trans case. I see people saying there’s didn’t line up o don’t know if they maybe put the gears in wrong so it wouldn’t close all the way, but good product so far haven’t drove with it yet though if it’s bad I’ll redo this post!

Didn't go together quite properly had a slight Gap after putting all the gears in. Also had to do slight modifications to my chassis to get it to go on properly on my 1/10 scale Traxxas rustler VXL

I love this gear case, it looks awesome in my slash 2wd. It also helps dissipate heat from the motor and just feels overall more rigid and reliable. The composite plastic is much better than stock!

It claims to have larger slots for more gear combinations, but that is not the case at all. It does seem to be a decent case and looks cool.

Looks really nicely made. Surely stronger than plastic. Haven't installed it yet , hopefully it goes together good. It's really machined nice. Update: installed works perfectly. And yes youCan put stock bumper or RPM bumper on. If you read composite gear box with aluminum plate. Hot Racing does make a all aluminum gear box looks exactly the same. I will definitely buy more for my other slash 2wd.

well put together! its harder plastic than the stock gearbox. it has a metal mounting plate for the Motor and has 3 heat sinks on it to help dissipate heat. very cool. . metal a arm brackets. its a really nice gearbox for less than 30 bucks! Especially since i wrecked my Rustlers gearbox taking it apart once. Update : I finnaly was able to use my truck because its been raining out and i was able to romp on my truck for at least 15-20 mins and the metal plate got warm it helped dissipate the heat with the 3 smaller heatsinks. really is a great transmission for under 30 bucks. I recommend it fully! with the stock trans i was only able to do it for maybe 7 minutes on a 11.1 lipo
