This definitely works great and it so helpful. I use to just remove the cover and sit it to the side but this makes it so much easier. It also don’t take up any room on each side like some of the others I’ve seen. This was really easy to assemble. Very durable and a great value.

I am very impressed with the quality of this cover lifter. The powder coated metal tube are sturdy and base plates a great way to secure it without having to drill into the hot tub. My experience is that cover lifters that are secured to the hot tub with screws, eventually loosen making it ineffective. Very pleased with this company and their product.

This relatively inexpensive device made it possible for my wife to easily open the hot tub by her self! My struggle has also been eliminated. No more folding, sliding, lifting, or moving a very awkward cover. The 18 inches of space needed for the folded cover cannot be over stated! It defines the placement of the hot tub. In our case it changed the direction of the fold for the cover. I have been fighting with the old heavy cover for years. My son suggested a sheet of visquine under the cover. The cover weight dropped in half, but now two awkward things to contend with. SO, new cover and this wonderful device! The picture for the 4" offset from the edge of the tub to the center-line of the hinge is a bit confusing, but once I saw the overhang of the fiberglass tub it made more sense. I used a four foot level to mark the tub edges on the concrete for the 4" hinge offset and the 1" width offset. A bit of perseverance here while you magically lift the heavy tub and place the hinge plate accurately in two dimensions, then go to the other side and do it again!IN HIND-SITE: I would call one of my buddies and buy him his preferred adult beverage. This is a job for four hands, four eyes, and your buddy fact checking your thought process. Mine is square, plumb, and accurate in three dimensions, BUT it would have been so much easier with a friend.I'm sure there are many installs where 4 inches isn't 4 inches, and 1 inch isn't 1 inch, nor square or plumb. They will be hard to use, and eventually wear out. My tiny wife uses ours effortlessly! For the price it is a GREAT product!

Customer service is amazing. We have some rust that was coming from the bottom of the bar. I contacted customer service and they replaced and sent a new one right a way.

Trash right out of the box. This felt cheap and sure as it felt the first time trying to fold open my cover it broke right at the corners.

I think they should mention the use of a crow bar to lift the corner of an emptied hot tub to insert the steel plate.Someone mentioned it is wise to have 2 people involved in getting the steel plates properly placed under the hot tub. Also, a very strong electric drill is necessary to insert the “self-tapping” screws. It is a set-up that requires thought and necessary tools. But it is worth the effort to have a smoothly operating cover lifter!

This was as expected only one issue was the straps to secure it did match up with the ones on the hot tub.
