I found these pretty hard to put on the 2 gallon bucket by a woman, and just troublesome for men. I would suppose this is due to strength and dexterity. Other than that, I put them on a Home Depot bucket and on reused frosting buckets from Walmart bakery section. They work perfectly well. and I have used without issue a pack of 10.I would definitely buy them again.

2 gallon buckets from Lowe's will not work.The lids only work on House Naturals 2 gallon buckets.

... bit of a struggle. (64 yr/o woman w. stroke deficits)However, once I got the hang of it, did all 10 w/o assistance! (hubby kept offering though, 'cause he's a sweetheart ♥) My method, for what it's worth: One knee on one side of the ring, making sure inner lip was completely INSIDE the bucket. Using my good hand, pulled rim inward so lip on opposite side was also inside. (For a moment you think, NO way is this going to fit?) Then put my weight on the rim (small person) until I heard that familiar *snap* as ring seated correctly. These are supposed to fit snugly else they wouldn't do the job intended. Double check that ring is seated properly. SUCCESS!!We noticed 3 of the rings are bent/ dented on the inside lip when taking them out of the bag? Possibly someone tried to seat them on buckets that weren't the right sz and returned? Hmm..... They did snap on eventually, but hoping the defect doesn't impact the seal?? The only reason for 4 stars rather than 5.
