I am not inclined to iron on a regular basis, and certainly the time-consuming task of pulling out an ironing board is something I don't intend to do regularly. This is why I purchased this ironing blanket to assist in my ironing chores.What I really like about the blanket is how easy it is to lay out and move around. I was able to iron on top of a table with little effort and overall I felt that the results were similar to an ironing board.My only concern would be the material as it doesn't feel as high quality as I would like for longevity; however, it was a great price and I would certainly buy it again if it did fall apart after a reasonable amount of wear and time.

Thinking outside the box! I purchased a small camping gas grill and have a small camp table to set it on. The grill gets rather hot on the bottom so wanted something to protect the particle board table. I happen to think about an ironing board cover but expected to find them in large size. Took a look on Amazon and found this small ironing pad and it works GREAT! Plus I could take a iron camping and have my wife iron my summer shirts :-) I don't think that will happen but remember, these things work for more than their intended use. Well made, thick and wipes off easily with a damp cloth. I may purchase several more!

I got this because I was tired of burning and ruining bed sheets when ironing vinyls onto fabrics, etc.It's got a one-sided metallic side, and a foam side. I use it foam-side down.Heat still travels through the blanket. I used it on top of my rubber cutting mat, and it began warping--so that's a No No.However, it's pretty good for what it is and it's price.Will save me from throwing out any more bed sheets int he future.It's a good size ~28" long. I have to fold it to store it, so it has creases in it, but I can remedy that by simply running an iron over it a couple of times.

Purchased with intention for occasional use on counter for quick need like collars etc...right out of package even before using there was a hole in the under layer/bottom 'nonslip' foam. What it is, is the heat tolerant silver top and a cotton edging with an extremely thin and fragile foam backing which is not connected to the silver top portion at all except at the cotton edging. Therefore, there is a huge amount of slippage between the two layers and there is no way it will last. Back foam is about one millimeter thick and just not practical. Didn't even bother to try it out due to the hole in the foam upon arrival but I knew that it would be unnecessary to attempt.

I originally bought this for myself, but my mother ended up trying it first and I have never been able to get it back since. Most of the ironing she does is to fix creased hems and collars not bending properly, and previously she'd have to dig into the closet to bring out the big, heavy ironing board that makes the most annoying screech whenever it's set up. Now she just throws this down and she's done. Five stars from me because every time she uses it she actually smiles just because she doesn't have to deal with our ironing board.

Six months ago, I bought the "Ironing Blanket" for my tabletop ironing board. I do not like the cover on the ironing board and thought this would be a better alternative! It works GREAT as this blanket gives the ironing board the extra cushion that we were seeking. It has held up but it will scorch as my daughter did not know that the one touch sensor was off on the iron so it scorched the blanket but it still works perfectly. We use the steam and mist from the iron on the blanket and it did not stain the blanket until the incident occurred with my daughter and the iron which is no reflection on the blanket. I just ordered my second "Ironing Blanket" because I might use it for crafting or perhaps a backup ironing blanket.We do not have issues with the mat curling or laying flat because the blanket hangs over the ironing board but it still ours still does not curl. We did not have an odor and if things change with the second one, I will update my review!

The picture does not show what the foam padding looks like. Rest assured, it's just foam padding (keep out of reach of children/pets who will be probably find a way peel/chew/scratch it off and make it look ugly.) It will smell a bit when it's freshly out of the package, but of course, it loses that real quickly.Cheap, does what it does, makes a slight crinkly noise when you roll it up, and super light.Works like a charm and easy for travel when the hotels you book don't have a convenient place to iron your clothes.
