Didn’t mind spending the extra money on a thicker pad for my ironing board was impressed that it would be large enough to fit on my extra wide ironing board however it is so bun. It doesn’t fit flat and the elastic around the edges is what it should be when contacting Amazon Explaining the situation and how I was not satisfied, my only option was to return to store that I don’t even live around. Unbelievable very disappointed purchased the warehouse and was never stated that the elastic was not performing correctly on the pad.

By measurement, this should have fit, but didn't have quite enough stretch to do so. Quality looked good, but I returned it. My ironing board is just about at the maximum length for this cover, not more, but it's skimpily made.

My board is 14 3/4 x 53 3/4. This is too big. The length is ok but it's too wide. It has elastic around it but it's not enough to keep it from bunching up on the top. I'd need to buy some strong cover clips and to if they could pull it tighter to make it fit. It's not worth it. I'm returning and going to try another brand. Lots of padding but the top fabric was a light weight cotton. I'm looking for something that's made a little better.

I looked at this ironing board cover's dimensions and measured my ironing board before ordering, but I could not fit this on my board which is 54 and 1/8 inches long. I didn't think an eighth of an inch would make much difference since the seller's description says it is for boards up to 54 inches. Well, that extra 1/8 inch did make a difference, because just couldn't stretch it over the end of my board. It would not budge. After placing the pointed end pocket over that end of the board, I could only get the other end of the cover to stretch over the side of the other end of the board, so the cover would not stay on securely.It turns out that my board had a big rust spot in the middle, which I didn't know about until I took my old cover off, so I ended up needing to replace my ironing board anyway. The new board I bought is just shy of 54 inches long (probably about 53 and 1/2 or 7/8 inches) and I'm happy to say this made all the difference and this wonderfully padded ironing board cover fits it nicely. The cover that came with my new board was super cheap and made of thin fabric with a very thin pad underneath. This Household Essentials cover/pad is a big upgrade because it has a durable cotton canvas cover with thick padding underneath. It makes HUGE positive difference when ironing. There was a large wrinkle in the padding that put a bump in the cover, so I simply ironed it out and now it's perfect. In case you need to do this, too, note that I had to flip the cover over and iron on the underside to get the bump to smooth out, but it did go away. I like that the cotton canvas cover is natural, unbleached cotton which is basically a cream color that looks great. The seller calls it beige but in my book it is more of a cream color, or I suppose you could call it off-white.The cover is elasticized as opposed having a drawstring or Velcro straps. I wouldn't mind a Velcro strap or two going across the underneath, to snug the sides on more tightly, but it is working fine without them.Overall this is a great cover that is made of durable and thick natural cotton twill, and has a thick padding underneath. It makes ironing a pleasure. Just don't try to put in an ironing board that is even 1/8 inch longer than 54 inches, and maybe consider using it on a board that is at least a little less than 54 inches long.
