I got this to see if it will work on my rainwater collection system. I'm using pvc thinwall (sewer) pipe. We get a lot of rain in the PNW and occasionally a lot of wind that produces a large fir needle drop. The small fir needles clog up the gutter drains (and clog up gutter covers), so the solution is to have the water flush the system out using oversized gutters and downspouts and have filters strategically placed for easy maintenance. The product dimensions don't include the downspout size, so this was a gamble. The outside diameter of the round discharge port appears to be 3 1/16" inches. This fits inside the 3" pipe 'bell end' of the thinwall (sewer) pipe. It doesn't fit inside 3" SCH40 pipe. I hope this helps someone else.
