This hoverboard broke after riding 5 times. It stopped mid-ride and started a beeping sound and wouldn't go forward. One wheel is lit up and won't turn off, I am afraid of it causing a fire because it won't turn off. We took very good care of this and stored it inside and followed all instructions and its a piece of junk. Customer service said because its out of the 3 month warranty time period there's nothing they can do. I ordered in October for a Christmas present so my kid didn't even get to ride it till the end of December. Rode it maybe 5 times and it stopped working. Don't buy. Piece of junk.

As soon as we opened this box on Christmas morning for my son, pieces of the hoverboard started falling out of the box. Cracked and shattered exterior. Tires worn and obviously ridden. Can’t believe this item got re-taped up and shipped out to us. Ridiculous.

The (H1-CME) was a Christmas gift in 2020, and failed within a short period of time (gyroscope issue). I attempted to fix it myself with the error code it was presenting, but the best Hover-1 could offer us with was a discount on a refurbished and different model, which arrived to us defective and with a broken plastic shell. I notified Hover-1 of the defective refurbished unit on 8.3.21 and on August 24, 2021 I was informed by Hover-1:“An order for your replacement item has been placed and will ship soon. You will receive a confirmation email with a tracking number, when your item is ready to ship.”I did not receive any confirmation thereafter, until I proactively messaged again and was then told that I now needed to decommission the unit before a replacement would ship. This was confusing especially when I was told an order was placed and would ship soon. After multiple emails, and another request to speak with a Representative on 12.8.21, we are moving towards a resolution with a replacement.

This Hover-1 Chrome 2.0 Electric Hoverboard and Adjustable Go-Kart Attachment is a lot of fun, and I've been having a blast with my kids riding on it. It's powerful and goes surprisingly fast with the go-cart attachment on it, and I love how you can wheel around on a dime, go in reverse, and nimbly maneuver around in it while you're "driving" it.Assembling the attachment took a little time to put together - but not horribly long (like 20+ minutes getting it all set up and figuring it all out). This is not to say that you will have to take that long to attach it each time - that's just to get all the pieces together and figuring out what goes where when you're putting the attachment together initially, if that makes sense.Once done and appropriately strapped to the Hoverboard, it works well - BUT - it does seem to get a little off-kilter from time to time, and likes to suddenly beep annoyingly for no reason whatsoever sometimes. I don't necessarily like the straps they provided, and it can kinda detach a little (or allow the attachment to get a little "off") from the device, which I'm not a fan of. You can readjust them, but I am probably going to see if I can find something better to keep it more firmly on there. As to the annoying beeps - we've tried a lot of different things to see why it would beep like it does, but can find no common denominator. The only solution is to turn it off and on again, recalibrate it, double check nothing is loose or off-kilter, and hope it doesn't start beeping again later. It will do it when it's stopped, when it's in motion, when you go fast, when you go slow - and it's random when it happens. I thought it had something to do with a low charge, but it did it once when it was fully charged, too. The beeping doesn't affect the functionality of the device, either - so we're still scratching our heads on what we might be missing with that, or what it might mean. It doesn't do it all the time and is completely random when it does it - so it's not like it is always beeping every time we use it, but...hopefully I can figure out what it is soon and update this review for others who may have a similar issue with it. I nearly knocked off another star for that, but I'm giving the benefit of the doubt that perhaps there's something on our end that we are or are not doing correctly with it to make it do that. Everything else functions very well on it, and the BT speakers are a neat feature to make it even more fun.On the whole, this set is perfect for people who want to enjoy a Hoverboard but do not want to be clumsily falling off of one and practically breaking their neck on it. I am a medium sized woman, and I was able to get right on and ride it around - so this is not just for "young" people. I was very excited to see that this extension was even an option. It's certainly much, much safer to use the attachment and make it into a fun go-cart vehicle, BUT I do have to caution that it is still extremely powerful and still requires a little coordination and practice to use. I was shocked at how fast I could zoom up a paved incline, so it has a LOT of oomph. It would be easy for someone to jump on and then have it go slam into something quickly if you're not careful - so younger kids honestly should not use this. My almost-11 year old got somewhat intimidated by it at first, because he was afraid it would get out of his control. With practice, he got better, but it certainly requires adult supervision at the very LEAST. My 15 year old quickly figured it out and was able to zoom around and test its capabilities with relative ease - but even he admitted it can go out of control if there are any slight inclines where you are traveling downhill (even gently). It's very sensitive to your movements when using the levers, and turns and moves on a dime - which can be both good and bad. It's truly ideal on very flat, paved surfaces.Once you run out of battery "juice," this DOES take a little while to get fully recharged again. One hour won't cut it (you can use it, but it certainly won't last long) - but a few hours will usually do the trick to get it back up to 100%.Overall, this is a really nifty set that expands the Hoverboard's capabilities to make it safer AND fun to use for many people. (Side note for people who are considering other Hoverboard models: I also got another Hoverboard after this one that did NOT come with the attachment, and we bought a different brand of attachment to stick on it, as my kiddos would not stop fighting over who got to take turns with this one. While it was a little more expensive to piece meal it that way, the other attachment I got for our 2nd one was more stable than this one - so if you're willing to spend a little extra cash - or want a different model of Hoverboard than this particular one - I would recommend that route. There's a lot of options out there that will work with most models, so this isn't the only one that has this capability to convert into go-cart mode.) Depending on what you're looking for, YMMV.
