Got this for my 3 year old and he loves it. It’s sturdy and well made and comes put together, all you need to do is connect the handle bars to the scooter, no tools required. The steering on these isn’t the conventional turn method but instead you need to lean the handle bars in the direction you wish to go. The directions are clear though they say nothing about how to get the lights working. There is a battery compartment on the bottom of the scooter for that. Overall, very happy with it.

This was a really fun scooter that took us a while to review. It's got some great features - the wheel lights are fun. It snapped together really easily despite initially looking like it was going to be a big project. It's definitely a good value. The brakes work decently. The turning is an adjustment. My kids are more used to scooters that you have to twist to turn. This is much more like a skateboard - where you have to lean left and right and that's what turns the front axle. It took them a LONG series of crashing into things by understeering and then falling off by overleaning before they started to get it down. It was definitely a leaning curve.

I had ordered this for my 6-year-old granddaughter. We finally just had a chance to check it out yesterday and it's a really nice scooter for the cost. She already has a small scooter, but it's not as sturdy as this one. Full disclosure, I had to try it out too. The weight limit is 110lbs. and I weigh 115lbs, so I am only 5 pounds over the limit. But I had to make sure that it was safe for her to ride. My granddaughter is still learning the concept on how you ride on a scooter. She just wants to push with her foot and doesn't know how to put her foot up on the deck yet. It's hard to explain, so I showed her how to do it. It's been so many years since I have been on a scooter, that I had forgotten how much fun they are.Once she started to get the hang of it, of course she wanted to race me down the street. We have a long concrete driveway, so we started riding on that first. On that, the ride was smooth, but once we took it out onto the street, the ride wasn't as smooth, because my street is old and not in good condition. The steering on this is a little tricky, because you have to lean to one side or the other to make it turn, unlike a regular scooter, where you turn the front wheel with the handlebar. Since there are 2 wheels on the front, the decking is wider and that makes it easier to put both of your feet on it, plus it feels more stable than a regular scooter and it stands up by itself. She stayed at my house until it got dark, and we took turns riding it on my driveway, so we could see how the wheels light up. Of course, she thought that was great, but I told her that it really isn't safe to ride at night on this. I am going to keep this at my house, so she can ride it when she comes to visit.

I got this scooter for my 5 year old son because my daughter has a similar one and I didn’t want him to feel left out. Oh my gosh, he had a blast on this thing!! They immediately started taking turns riding it around the house. I haven’t seen them have so much fun in a long time! The color is nice! It’s a fun, bright mint. Great for both boys or girls. The wheels light up when you start riding it, which is super cool! It doesn’t have any huge, obnoxious logos, which I really liked because his sister’s scooter (different brand) has a HUGE logo on it and it looks a little tacky. Appearance-wise, it’s perfect!!The steering took a few tries for my 5 year old to figure out, but he got the hang of it quickly and has no issues! It’s the kind where you have to lean left/right to turn, instead of turning the handlebars like a bike. He wasn’t used to steering like that but it doesn’t bother him now. It makes it a little harder to do sharp turns, but it is much steadier when going in a straight line. We usually ride down the sidewalk so we kinda prefer this. It also has a brake on the back wheel! The 3 wheel design is nice because it’s much more stable for younger kids! It also keeps the scooter held upright so it doesn’t tip over when your kid inevitably lets go because they got distracted by something lol. My kids would drop their old scooters every 5 seconds and would get frustrated from having to keep picking them up. So this feature is excellent for young kids!!!Also, the handlebar height is adjustable so you can find the appropriate fit for your child. It lets it grow with them, too, so you can get a good several years of use out of them. The price ($39.99 at the moment) is an excellent value! It was so nice seeing my kids laughing and having fun on this rather than staring at a TV screen!! I can’t wait to take this scooter outside when the weather gets warmer! It’s definitely going to get a lot of use this spring/summer. I would absolutely recommend it!! It would make an awesome gift, too. What kid wouldn’t like getting a light-up scooter for a birthday present? :)

I’m so impressed with the Hover-1 Scout Folding Kick Scooter! It’s a fantastic ride for kids — both fun and practical. The multicolor wheel lights are a huge hit with my child, adding an extra element of excitement when scooting around. Not only do the lights look great, but they also provide extra visibility, which adds a bit of safety, especially during dusk or in low-light conditions. The 4.8” front wheels offer a smooth ride, even on uneven surfaces, while the rear foot brake is easy to use and effective, providing my child with a great sense of control. The scooter is lightweight, making it easy to fold up and store when not in use, and it’s incredibly durable with a weight capacity of up to 110 lbs, making it suitable for a wide age range. What really stands out is how sturdy and well-built it feels. The frame is solid, and it’s clear that this scooter is designed for long-lasting use. My child loves riding it, and I love knowing that it’s both fun and safe. If you’re looking for a quality scooter that’s easy to use, fun to ride, and built to last, the Hover-1 Scout is an excellent choice! Highly recommend!
