Love my new mantel clock. 5 stars. I would have liked the numbers on the face of the clock to be a little darker.

I was looking for the perfect clock to go on the very top shelf of my built-in wall unit in my living room. It goes perfectly with my decor and looks exactly as pictured. So far, it keeps perfect time and I love the little pendulum that hooks onto the bottom of the clock. It is definitely a great purchase!

The clock functions well, but it seems you're mainly paying for the brand rather than the quality. I appreciate it, but I wouldn't buy it again. It just doesn't feel like a standout piece.

face is not as easy to read as I would like but it is an attractive addition to decor

Absolutely love this clock. Perfect for my décor. The only problem is the pendulum; it is delicate and bends easy. You have to work with it a little to get it to sit right and not bang or rub on the bottom and sides of the iron. The clock is heavy-duty and sturdy so it doesn't feel cheap. Some of the other reviews have been about the face of the clock not being stone and I agree that it would be a much better design with a stone face instead of the fake stone. It would add value to the already great design. The clock is not noisy which is definitely a feature I look for in a clock.Other than that...it's fabulous!

For the price it is fine. Real stone and more substantial hands for the clock would be better, but you'd have to pay for that.

About the Vericelli Mantel Clock: I just received it the other day ahead of schedule. It looks great next to the Stiffel Brass Lamp on the table next to the bed. It stands tall enough so I don't have to lean over to see the time and the clock face is also big enough to see from across the room. It fits under the lamp shade with 3 inches to spare. Also, because it has no glass or plastic cover over the face, there is no glare to interfere with the visibility for telling the time. I thought there might be a dust problem being open, but sofar, not at all. I just love the looks of it though. It looks like some sort of artwork from Italy to me. The wrought iron curves in dark brown, tied at the ends in intervals are quite beautiful. The face is made out of some sort of cream colored synthetic stone and the hands and markers are gold colored as are the wrought iron ties as well. It is a heavy, quality piece that stays where you put it. It tells great time too. Adjacent to the battery is a small wheel with grooves. Up means faster and down means slower for a fine time adjustment. No owner's instructions. I just figured it out. Takes one AA battery. I adjusted my time according to the internet on my phone and now it keeps perfect time. You will have to very carefully manually move the minute hand. The pendulum is a cool added feature too. Be aware it moves a little funny. It does a little wiggle after going right then left. It is just the way it counts out the seconds. This clock is a cute smaller version of the big grandfather chiming floor clock version. See the U-tube on the "Howard Miller Vericelli Floor Clock." This one does not chime though, which is another reason I like it and whatsmore is extremely quiet while functioning. You really have to put your ear up to it and listen. The clock is about 12" tall, and 8" wide and 4" depth. The clock face is about 4" wide. I am extremely happy with my choice.
