I bought this with olympus 40-150mm lens as a pack and I received this uv protection it doesn't fit to lens camera with. So I wanted to return this they want me pay for return shipping cost. And they gonna refund me after they received. Shipping cost is $11 and this uv protection was $19. So what I am getting back. If any item doesn't belongs to each other or fits you cannot sell as a pack. Very disappointed.

I bought this for my Olympus OM-D E-M10 camera with EZ 14-42mm lens. It was exactly what I needed to protect the lens from damage.

The perfect 37mm filter to protect the Olympus 14-42 mm kit lens at a reasonable price. Well made and perfect fit. The ring is plastic or non-metal and has threads on both sides so the filter can be stacked with another filter.

Lenti filtri UV. Buon prodotto che protegge dai raggi UV ma anche dalla polvere il gruppo ottico. Molto spesso è consigliato proprio per questo ultmo uso

I bought this Hoya filter for my olympus 45mm lens. It is very slim and protects my lens so it serves its purpose. It does not affect the picture quality from what I can tell but I am not a Profesional photographer.

You'll hear from many "authorities" that filters are commodity items and the more expensive ones are not worth the money. To some extent, this is true. But very inexpensive filters are not worth the money either.Hoya HMC filters are about twice as much as the least expensive brand. Yet they are worth the extra money. I've purchased an inexpensive filter that was not coated on one side due to a manufacturing defect. Internal reflection between that uncoated glass surface and the front element made the auto focus on a lens fail, so much so that I thought the lens was defective. When I switched to a Hoya HMC filter instead, I could not believe how sharp the lens actually was!Five stars because Hoya is a high quality product and the price is reasonable. Hoya has real quality control: I've never received a defective one.

It came just in time for my trip to the beach. Looks good so far!EDIT: This was a little godsend. After a few days of fun at the beach, my camera had sand in a lot of nooks and crannies but none on the lens, which is the most important part. It worked just as expected, would buy again.

On the recommendation that these UV filters were, if nothing else, a great way to protect your lens, I purchased the Hoya 37mm UV(C) filter for my new Olympus PEN E-PL3.These are my thoughts:1) At first I thought there was no glass in the disc because it was so clear. Impressed!2) It fitted the thread perfectly on my M.Zuiko lens. It did not stick or cross-thread. Beautiful engineering!3) When I took a sample photograph of the sky and garden, I am sure the colours were more natural and the definition slightly better with the filter attached.Whether you think a UV filter is necessary or not, I have to say that Hoya made a good impression on me with this first example of their products. I will definitely put my trust in buying their filters again if I need another. What more can I say? Quality.

The multiple coatings are top quality, although the filter is made in the Philippines, and not Japan. Wish it didn't say that on the rim, though. I have worn through the coatings by now on cheaper filters. Hoya is good quality, in my opinion. By the way, this is not a slim-rim and will vignette with a wide to mid focal length hood. Not a flaw. Just something you wouldn't expect from the description on Amazon. The price was good.

There are many cheaper filters out there. The great thing about the Hoya is that it is very slim and the glass is of high quality with true multi-coating. Some will argue that 1. a UV filter is not needed and 2. just buy a cheap one. There is endless debate on this topic - but the UV filter does protect your front lens element and if you get a good one (not cheap) there is no degradation in quality and light. I personally think the investment to protect my lenses is worth it - but your mileage may vary. Overall - solid built product and highly recommended.

I dropped my camera once and no even a scratch on my filter. Durable. Ultra Thin. Clean and Clear. Best investment to protect your $700 pocket camera.

It's a UV filter.. Yes, if you are worried about glare, get B+W multi coated filter.I was looking for a 'protection filter' for an economical lens. This works fine, and haven't noticed much of glare problems yet.Filter is not exactly thin though..
