We use these for the caps on some post that we put in the ground for a fence some metal post and they fit perfect to customer was happy and it didn't look bad

I purchased these to use as caps for some fence posts but they fit funny on the tubing. They would sit slightly crooked or have a corner sticking out. The top of my posts are 7’ in the air so I didn’t care too much about the looks but don’t expect these to look perfect. My biggest issue was that they will not keep water out. I had to remove them and put sealer around it before reinstalling.

These are definitely not made for wall thickness of 1/4-0.78". I tried them on square tube with a 1/8" wall and couldn't get them seated all the way, too tight. I'm going to try again on some 1/4" wall, but I really don't see that happening at all.
