External CD player was shipped separately without notice so I thought it had been omitted from the order. It showed up in another box some time after the laptop arrived. It came from a different source, I think. I did get replies back to my emailed questions about it, and what was promised happened, just had to have patience. It was included in the price of the laptop, and I liked that. The laptop is great. Took it to Best Buy to transfer files from an ancient PC, and they were impressed by the quality for the price. The case they noted is plastic and doesn't impress so they thought it was only 256. When they saw the power contained in it and the 1 TB storage, large screen, etc. they said it was a great deal. Love that total membership with them to help me with additional installs and transfers. I did the initial setup. Love the MS Word that is not tied to 365. Using this computer for home and personal use. Miss having Publisher just a little bit - mainly to open files I'd made in it. Overall, I am most happy with the speed and flexibility of this laptop.

Couple months in and performance is great. Wish charging cable was USB type c though and docking stations are either hard to find or expensive. Don't pay the crazy full price, I got mine for like $500 which is a great price considering all the hardware and software included. Mine came with the external drive, which is read and write, and lifetime Microsoft products. Also wish keyboard was lit. But overall happy with purchase.

The laptop feels solid for the price, and the Full HD 15.6" screen is crisp with good brightnessโgreat for long hours of work. Wi-Fi 6 connectivity keeps everything speedy online, and the inclusion of a free external CD/DVD drive was a nice idea for older media.
