There you have. Spend 139.00 get a plain card board box,no documentation, and a power cord that won't fit.Spend 155.00 get a Factory pack box. Better packaging, a driver CD, and it works. I should've gone this way at first.

Be patient when hooking this up. I had no idea which cables went where. I'd been working with my PC Srvc support team when I added this, and would have been lost without them walking me through all of the cables & trouble shooting what wasn't set up yet. For those who are more tech savvy than me, you'll have no problem. With my assistant installing, I'm quite happy with the result!

The first thing you should know about this docking station is there are two versions that look identical. The one in the listing is the G5 docking station. The one I used prior was the G5 essential stocking station. This one compared to the other seems to be giving me greater stability.Docking station has no problem handling all three monitors and multiple peripherals and charging all at the same time.Prior there were issues with these HP docking stations causing monitor flickering which you can read about on the internet. I believe a firmware update has resolved this issue as immediately when I plugged the dock in, the laptop prompted me to update the firmware on the docking station. I did update the firmware and the monitor flickering appears to have gone away for now.The stocking station has a ton of features. 5 USB ports(4 A type &1 C), 2 display ports, 1 HDMI and gigabit Ethernet. The docking station comes with an extremely powerful, albeit required, power supply. The power supply is rated at 120 Watts, utilizing the specialized HP power connector. Also in the box is a single HDMI cable and a single display port cable, both supporting the latest standards.

This is one of the smaller USB docking stations than the most and yet, it packs a lot of output and ports to connect 2 external monitors with tons of add-ons. I have a wireless keyboard/mouse via USB receiver, USB webcam, USB flash drive, external NVMe SSD hard drive and a 3-foot data cable to connect to my notebook. This long 3-foot data cable along with 100W power delivery are my favorite features to connect my notebook from work when I have to work from home.

Had to return because the cables, and cords did not properly fit the unit (like they were after market items thrown together). Beware. Got my money back no problem - however, buyers beware for added stuff the authentic item from HP does not typical have.
