Not your heavy or even medium-duty color photo printer but this unit pays for itself in the long run if you're always getting your passport-size color photos at print shops.The unit is thinner but wider than my go-to label printer made by NIIMBOT. Both are easy to use and rechargeable, and they offer Bluetooth printing through an app (for this unit, it's HeyPhoto).The app -like NIIMBOT- doesn't require you to register but it will ask you to give access (full or limited) to your photos and camera on your mobile device (iOS or Android). Registering an email gives you 99 "AR" scan spots and about 5.5 GB of cloud album space.So, if you're concerned about giving access to photos that reside in the internal memory of your mobile device, you can use an external USB drive (usually, they also work through an app). All you need to do is choose a photo (from the external USB drive) & upload it to the HeyPhoto app for editing & printing.The unit comes with a 5-pack HPRT ZINK 2"x3" photo paper but you can use any third-party brand of 2"x3" - as long as it conforms to the ZINK standard (it will have the ZINK logo. I purchased LIENE's 50-pack with satisfactory results on this HPRT mini photo printer.The HeyPhoto app -though limited- works well in conjunction with the printer. The printing speed is reasonable (most of the magic works in the ZINK paper) and always give ample time for the unit to cool down before printing your next photo.This HPRT size-specific (2" x 3') photo printer should appeal to hobbyists, scrapbook enthusiasts, and travelers who want instant color hard copies, albeit small, for themselves or for giving away!It's fun and affordable; everything fits in a small space in your bag or even your pant's pocket!

We intended to carry around this little printer for quick prints on-the-go, since we are the type of people who like to capture our most meaningful memories in both physical and digital formats.This little printer does not print in 4x6" standard photo format, which is my mistake for not double checking, but it could still be nice for printing cute tiny card memories. It's nice that it does not require ink.The required app is by a completely different brand which is never a good sign. Whose terms and conditions am I agreeing to here? Why can't I just print to this normally without some random company's app in-between my photos and my printer?The printer is really really noisy and takes a long time to print the mini cards. At the end of the job, the photo quality ended up being lower than the outcome of using a vintage "Polaroid" style instant print camera. It's extremely faded like it's already years old, barely any contrast and low brightness. Not great for displaying our valued memories.

The HPRT MT53 Mini Photo Printer is super convenient and fun to use! Setting it up with Bluetooth on my iPhone was quick and easy. The sticky-back photo paper is great for scrapbooking, journaling, or decorating.The print quality isn’t the best — colors could be sharper and more vibrant — but for a portable printer, it gets the job done. The convenience of printing on the go totally makes up for it.

Overall, I'm pleased with this printer; it generally meets expectations. I've owned various printers that utilize this style of Polaroid digital technology, and this one has been the best, although it doesn't quite match a print from a Polaroid instant camera yet.I really appreciate that the prints are stickers. We've used them at parties to create instant photos for kids from the photobooth and to make raffle posters with images of the prizes.The printer is straightforward to use. I had no issues loading the photo paper or using the app. It only comes with five sheets of paper, so I had to buy more and found a great deal on a 150-pack of Zink branded paper for $54, which is quite affordable for this kind of paper.But an issue arose with the printer not recognizing the blue calibration sheet from the Zink paper. After some messing around, it finally worked, although the prints don't seem to differ from those using the blue sheet that came with the printer.It's a convenient device that serves my needs well enough. I just wish the paper was less costly and the printer less particular about reading the blue sheet.

This printer isn’t giving the best quality prints but I got it for my 7 year old who recently was allowed to add fun photo apps to her iPad. She has an absolute blast making silly stickers of her and her brother with filters on them!The app leaves a lot to be desired, though. Not user friendly at all.

After loading the paper into the printer and downloading the app that controls the picture produced, it was straightforward and took little time. I was expecting more quality than I received from the printed photo.It had less detail than a Polaroid print. Since it's so tiny and transportable, it meets the need for instant results, but I can wait until after my trip to get a better-quality and less expensive solution.

This works well, I really like that you can take a picture and then print it right there. I wish it came with more pictures though.
