Intake tube a 1/2 inch to long had to shave down 3 plastic tabs on air box lid side , other then that great fit, amazing product, noticed improved throttle response , engine has deeper sound at lower rpms but once you hit 3-4,000 rpm the beast is unleashed.

Easy install, dropped in performance air filter along with flow accelerator flange while installing the HPS tube. Improves throttle response, sounds/feels like HP boost after 33-3500rpm. Would recommend if you are looking to upgrade your intake on Tacoma gen 3.

Tube is a full 2" shorter than would be needed, so it's not a question of my airbox or throttle body being a little off. It can be made to work by cannibalizing the stock tube to make an extension, but for the price it should just fit. I would recommend just getting the K&N version with the bellows at each end. The cherry on top: it comes with plain old worm gear hose clamps, which are fine, but not what is specifically pictured and mentioned in the product description

Install took minutes, low end throttle much improved smoother maybe a little more on top. Slight improvement in gas mileage. The low end throttle improvement is worth it alone. Slightly more throaty when on throttle.2019 TRD SPORT OV tune re-geared 4:88 285/70/17

I was skeptical but at around 3500 rpm this thing screams. Easy install took 5 mins.(Added to review after couple days) I noticed im getting 3 to 4 more mpgs. 😀

The factory intake is already cold and capable of moving plenty of air. The stock intake tube has a silencer and causes some turbulence. Slapped this baby on and not only does it sound rad but I’m getting a pinch better fuel economy and a few horsepower according to my butt dyno.

So, ordered this “just to see” if it actually does anything for gen 3 Tacomas as I’m waiting for superchargers to come down in price... the answer is YES. I’ve got a heavy rig on 33’s and 4.88 gears. Low to midrange power is instantly noticeable. Less gear hunting on the highway. And it sounds wonderful through my snorkel, but not too loud. Was worried about the material when I unboxed it... almost seems too flimsy. After my initial test drive I feel better now. I’ll likely replace the center portion with a metal tube/ clamps to get a little more scream out of it... sound is currently the same under normal driving, but let’s you know it’s there when punching it. Don’t follow the instructions... it can be installed in 5 min with a long 10mm socket, without removing the top of the air box.Update: drove it all day city/ highway mix and love it even more. No gear hunting with city driving. Low end power is super noticeable, even gives a power kick at 3500 rpm. I should mention there is a k&n filter in the box I’ve used since I got the truck. The combo seems to work well.
