Living in the Northeast the damage from freezing temperatures and inclement weather numbers in the millons yearly where I live although I've been pretty lucky with lose this year old man winter got the starter on my garden tractor it seems that melting ice found its way thru the hood vents and dripped on the the starter refroze and split the starter casing making it useless and unusabeable when I needed it for our first significant snow fall requiring to plow the driveway. Disgustingly I returned inside to look for a replacement starter and found them considerably higher in cost than I anticipated. I am so happy I found this starter that was half the cost of the OEM version . I immediately ordered it once making sure it fit may motor .well it arrived and was a perfect fit replacement for the broken one that froze it actually feels a little heavier meaning more windings and heavier casing than the original which is a win win in my book I've used the tractor twice since it was installed both times working flawlessly.i certainly would recommend this to anyone interested in a good quality starter half the cost of my local OEM replacement
