Perfect fit for my Radio Shack Realistic HTX-202. After weeks of cleaning and repairing the radio, this battery was exactly what I needed to get it on the air again. I tuned the radio to a local repeater and was able to talk to a fellow club member. This battery worked flawlessly. Great purchase. I only wish it had been sent directly via parcel post rather than through DHL. Still, shipping aside, this was a great purchase. Very happy.

This fits my htx 202 and has worked well.I have had no trouble with the fit.I have no complaints.I charge it with a 200 mAh 12 volt charger from batteriesamerica.

This battery is longer than original battery for my RadioShack HTX-202. Wall charger port is on one side and 13.8v DC connection is on the opposite side. Seriously tight fit and does not slide on to the radio smoothly. With the help of a large rubber malet and a nail file I could install and remove it but it's still a very tight fit. Will probably adjust the fit a bit more as needed. The original rechargable battery and ni-cad battery holder both attach smoothly.

Battery worked great as a power source for my vintage HTX-202 after I charged it overnight using the 12-V, 100-mA charger that came with the radio. The red LED "charge" indicator is quite bright while charging; I would have liked a feature that would extinguish the LED when the battery was fully charged.

This is an excellent replacement for the original battery pack. With a 100mah charger it takes about 16 hours to charge and lasts a good long while with moderate use.

Might be OK if you made a charger for THEM. The stock RS charger won't charge 'em up so they work for light receiving but useless for transmitting.
