The ad states that the battery is compatible with the C C Crane Solar Observer radio, which is what I have. I purchased one and installed it in the radio and then gave it a full charge. Once fully charged, I turned the radio on and expected to hear music, etc., however, all I heard was a loud popping noise. I checked to see that I had installed it properly and I had. I then tried some regular batteries and it still made the popping noise. When I called the C C Crane Company, I was told that if the battery hadn't been wired properly, it would ruin the radio, which is apparently what happened. I feel that the supplier of the battery should not only replace the defective battery but they should replace the radio as well. Any reputable company would do that.

My older emergency wind up charger radio battery died. The battery was determined to be the culprit. This one arrived quickly and I was back on the air with my little radio.

Used this battery in solar observer radio, but the capacity is to low to run radio and keep charge by solar.

This battery is easy to install into the CC Observer, The only disappointment is that the previous solar battery that came with the CC Observer only lasted two years, which seems like a short time for solar battery in an emergency radio.
