OK, so the product image on Amazon shows it with Red, Black, White, and Green, like the original battery. The one I received had Red, Black, White, and Blue. Ok, so I figure the Blue is the Green and maybe they ran out of Green wire.I went ahead with the replacement. During the process, the Red wire broke at the battery end. I managed to get it reattached. Got everything all buckled back up, plugged it in to charge....and nothing. It *should* give me an image of a battery indicating that it is charging, but too low to turn on the device. Nope, nada.If you're going to manufacture a battery and claim it's compatible, it should actually be.

I soldered this into my Zune 8gb. Desoldering old battery and replacing was easy, however this replacement battery does not work. Won't accept a charge or power on.

This battery worked out great for my 4gb Zune. That thing is 13 years old now! You do have to have the right tools to take this thing apart, and you do have to have intermediate soldering skills. This is actually the second time I have replaced a battery in my Zune, so I knew what I was getting into. There are a few good YouTube videos out there with a step-by-step process, so I would recommend viewing that before even purchasing the battery. After replacement, it fired right up, but it did act a little wonky. It would show a full charge (Green indicator), and then as soon as I disconnected the plug, it would say "low battery". However, once I said OK to the low battery message, it would play fine and would not die. I decided to leave it on the charger for several hours, and now when I disconnect it, the battery indicates full charge! Maybe it had to go through some type of process to fully recognize the new battery. Don't know. Zune is working as advertised. Thanks!

After fully charging, has less than a tenth of a charge when unplugged. Battery Defective.Edit, after fully discharging and charging I let it play overnight and was at half battery, It's working great. Gonna let it discharge and recharge a few more times.

This battery does work, but you have to remove the circuit board from the new one, and solder on the one from the old battery. For some reason the little board that comes with the battery wasn't compatible. I have my old Zune back!!!

I confess I was not a process easily install the battery but I have a little practice with electronics, gave a new life to my zune a very good buy I'm very satisfied
