I had a Harbor Breeze ceiling fan with 4 lights on the bottom. First pull of the chain lit bulbs 1 & 3.Second pull lit bulbs 2&4. Third pull lit alm the bulbs. The fan is very old. Recently I pulled the chain and it just CAME out! Whoa!I didntvwant to buy a new fan and Harbir Breeze did not sell separate electrical parts, so I searched in vain on Google for the light switch .Took the bottom cap off the fan to expose the rount light switch. Took a picture of it and did a Google search, found out it was a double pole switch.By a stroke of luck, I found the exact switch here,on Amazon. Placed the order and got it in 2 days!.Easy to disconnect the old switch, noting the wiring, and install the new switch. Replace the bottom cap and..........BINGO! Back in business. This is the exact double pole switch that fits both the Harbor Breeze and Hampton Bay fans with lights. Thanks Amazon!

Replaced wires in correct L123 ports, yet the resulting fan speeds were high, high, high, and medium no off so it's not compatible with original

I have wired a few ceiling fans for the pull chain speed and the never work correctly ever again. No matter how you wire them. I spent an hour on a ladder switching all possible positions and writing them down and it's always the same on other fans too. they are never the same from factory switches. I don't know why manufacturers don't make exact replacement ceiling fan speed switches to make an easy switch out and work like the originals. Maybe it's their way of getting you to buy another fan. I always thought a switch was a switch, but sadly they are not. I could only wire in... slow and fast or medium and fast, but not all 3 speeds ever again. It was just impossible no matter what wiring combination I tried. However, it does work and will keep you from buying another ceiling fan and all the work replacing it.

Switch is identical to original. I removed each wire one at a time and inserted them into the same slot on the new switch to make sure I didn't get the wiring wrong. However, when I pulled the chain, the fan went to high then medium, then high again before going off. I checked the wiring again just to make sure and it was correct. So now my fan doesn't have a low speed which, for me, is no biggie. I hardly ever used it on this fan anyway.

Nice to fix the ceiling fan without having to take the whole thing off the ceiling. The speeds don't work the same but at least it works
