A friend's house was flooded with saltwater during hurricane Helene. Needless to say, her pool and pool equipment was also submerged in the storm surge. Once power was restored, I rinsed the old pool pump and fired it up. It was whining crazy loud, but it worked. I ordered this pump and received it quickly. It was a perfect fit for the AO Smith that it replaced. It's been going for about 7 months now. Runs quiet, no issues.

Description for this product indicated FULL 1.65 HP. This is absolutely false. The motor is actually ONLY 1 HP. The seller claims a service factor of 1.65 and, therefore, claims a 1.65 HP motor. They also do not offer sufficient details for buyers to know this before purchase. I should not have ordered a product lacking complete technical details in the listings. As a result, it is over-priced by $50-$90.A secondary issue is that this motor is unusually (and somewhat smaller diameter). Other aspects including installation appear straightforward.
