The tap is ok and the die is crap. The die was not what was marked on the die and the machining is rough, will not use the die

Used as thread chaser for older BMW that customer cross threaded a bolt in. Seemed to cut well and threads were good as new. I am not a machinist so Iām not likely to be cutting new threads with it.
