Living in Southern Arizona for over 27 years, bolo ties are common “formal wear” for men of style and good taste! The bolo medallion/clasp is fairly decent quality in detail, style, and weight. The cord-clasp mechanism is inconvenient and practically requires two hands to adjust. The biggest issue is the cheap neck cord and gaudy cheap aiguillettes (the metal tips on the cord’s ends). The cord appears to be plastic and will not hang straight. It has permanent kinks and bends from being wrapped up in the box. I’ve had it hanging for weeks now – it is still twisted and kinked. Note: The seller claims the neck cord is “hand braided leather TYPE material”… that means fake leather, or plastic!The aiguillettes are cheap molded pot metal, they are too big, too gaudy, and add no class to the tie. I will keep the medallion/clasp and search for a replacement neck cord. I would NOT recommend this to others.
