No idea how to get a lid to stay on so I asked. Consolidated Plastics answered:"You can push it on, it might take a little more strength behind it than a normal lid"I pushed. I sat on the lid. I finally got it to stay on with a rubber mallet. Now it won't come off. So these are a one usage item? I'm not willing to pay sixty dollars for buckets I can use ONCE. They go back!

We had a difficult time finding a container with a pour spout for our grill pellets, but this works nicely. It holds a complete 20 bag. The buckets are very heavy duty and seem perfect for storage of the pellets. The lids were a little tricky figure out. The cap on the lid unscrews and you need to pull the spout out. There is a pull tab in the middle of the spout that needs to be removed. Putting the lids on the bucket was also a little tricky. We had to look up a video to figure out that we needed to clip at the holes around the bottom of lid. Once we got the lid on it seemed very secure.
