How we differ from the competition...

Many competitors have released squat rack for home gym set ups with a less stable frame that feature 2” x 2” upright poles, ineffective brackets to connect the frame, and with less squat rack attachments. We responded by creating a more stable frame with 1-inch & 2-inch weight plate holders to anchor the weight rack to the ground. We added thicker, powder coated 14-gauge steel to help support larger weight loads and increased the width/depth of the upright poles to 2.35-inch x 2.35-inch. There are 14 height adjustable 1-inch mounting holes on the upright poles to attach other gym accessories to. The 1st Generation Pro Series Squat Stand package includes:

  • (1) Squat Rack
  • (2) Pull Up Bars
  • (2) J-Hooks
  • (2) Spotter Arms
  • (2) Weight Plate Holders
  • (6) Resistance Band Pegs

NOTE Spotter Arms are absolutely necessary when weightlifting without a human spotter. We recommend control the weight down to the Spotter Arms to help mitigate the risk of the bar bouncing off the arms and potentially causing an injury.

Possibilities are endless with just a little bit of creativity!

You can add larger strength training attachments like the Cable Pulley System or Pro Series Jammer Arms. If using Jammer Arms, be sure to anchor your Squat Stand down with weight plates to avoid the exercise equipment from coming forward. Other smaller accessories you can add onto the squat rack are: Barbell Holders, Circle Dip Bars, J Hooks with Resin Pad (Upgrade to the existing J Hooks), Spotter Arms with Resin Pad (Upgrade to the existing Spotter Arms), 360 Degree T Bar Row Landmine Platform, and Weight Plate Holders.

Product Weight is 103 lb. Total weight capacity is 800 lb.

Don't forget about HulkFit Barbells, Weight Plates, Dumbbells, Kettlebells, Barbell and Weight Storage Racks!

Update: I did have an issue with the spotter arm being two of the same instead of one for each side and Hulkfit did get me the correct replacement part delivered. It was still usable but it was bothering me to have it not look symmetrical. Amazon was also good with providing me a discount for the problem/inconvenience since at the time the replacement arm appeared to be out of stock and they were about 50 dollars for 2 of them (I only needed 1). I did like the product so may have ordered the arms to get the one I needed if I had to. Overall, I got a great deal on this and am now happy so I've changed this review back to 5/5.Initial review/impression prior to noticing the spotter arm issue:I just got back into lifting weights so was increasing the options in my basement gym lately (see pic 1). Very happy with it and will share some details on the packaging and setup. Ordered this product on sale.Received and it was packaged well and the box had multiple layers of plastic wrap around it to keep it from getting wet. It was cold, snowy and wet in my yard. I dragged this down a steep hill (see pic 2) to get it to the back of my house. I unboxed it outside and carried the parts into the basement one by one. The entire process of dragging it down, cutting box open and unpackaging it only took 15 minutes or less. This would be a two person carry (to me) if I had to take it down my steps. I could probably do it solo but it's too risky so just did the outside option.I assembled most of it myself with the tools included. I got the yellow beams attached upright myself but was careful of them tipping when connecting the bolts. One of them almost fell into my wall but I caught it luckily. I had another person help me do the top bars to make that part easier and it was so much quicker/easier with two people.Regarding assembly, it does not have a lot of instructions but the diagram shows clearly where everything should go so just keep looking at that while assembling. Tricky thing would be the top bars since you need to put the bigger one on top but this is shown in picture. My helper was confused why there were two bars for the top but I assumed for stability.Tips: When tightening the small black metal plates for the top bars make sure you are holding them in place before tightening completely to prevent them from being crooked. Make sure you don't completely tighten one top bar before putting in the other or you will have to loosen the bolts to get other one to fit in (easy to do with two people but save you time by doing it right the first time). The product is very sturdy for the money I paid. There are a few nicks in the paint but doesn't matter to me at all because the metal seems strong under that paint. I tried it out using it for bench pressing for the first time and am very satisfied. Everything works as expected and I feel the product is well built overall. It's also easy to adjust the arms and j hooks for different heights.I bought cheaper weight sets from another website and combined with this good deal on the HulkFit I'm very happy with my little home gym right now. Also, note the plates on the HulkFit weight plate holder rods (back of machine in pic 1). You'll probably want extra plates to put on it if you don't have that to weigh down the rack if you do dips and such on it. I'm overweight so could be possible movement with the machine if I did dips but with weights holding it down better that obviously shouldn't happen.I give this product a 5/5 considering the price and quality delivered.

I am taking my first steps in building a home gym and I've begun participating in some fitness challenges involving weight lifting and pull-ups. Initially, I was going to get something cheaper (around the $100.00 range). But after seeing this one and considering it, I decided to spend the extra money. I'm really glad I did. The size is perfect for a basement workout space without tall ceilings.Delivery: I received this within 5 days of ordering. It was packaged well, all parts included and no product damage.Assembly: I assembled this by myself and I think it took about 2 - 2.5 hours (I had to stop and feed the dog and didn't really time assembly specifically). The directions are clear enough, especially when coupled with the manufacturer's online video. My knowledge of tools is very basic. I can pretty much figure out how to use something, but it takes me a little while and I don't really know the names. I finally realized that I needed to use both tools (wrenches? sockets?) for tightening the bolts at one time. One to hold the bolt still and the other to tighten the nut.My second mistake was in putting on the pull-up bars. I put the smaller one one first and was initially only going to use that one. After putting it on, and tightening up all bolts, I decided to put on the larger one for band use and a TRX anchor. It was impossible to get it on! I got it wedged in, but the yellow arms were so solid and tight, I couldn't get it to line up with the wholes and the ends of it stuck out awkardly. At this point I couldn't do anything with it but let it stay wedged were it was (I even tried to use oil as a lubricant). I then remembered another review that said to install the pull-up bars before tightening everything. Duh. I then also realized that I didn't install the black plates on the outside of the yellow arms for the smaller pull up bar. I didn't want to risk a poor assembly job for safety's sake. I decided to take off the smaller pull up bar to put on all 4 plates for it and this allowed me to install the larger pull up bar!Size: I think the size is great and fits neatly into its designated space. The dip handles are a little narrow but it works for me.Look: impressive! I have a real piece of home gym equipment!Use: I used it for the first time this morning for deadlifts and jumping pull ups. I felt safe and secure for all of my movements. No rocking on the jumping pull ups.Note: I have a cheapy barbell set that I brought from a now closed chain fitness store. The wholes in the plates are too small to fit on the plate holders at the back of the rack. And, my bar is really too short. I can't push the plate all the way on and get the bar to fit on the rack. I can live with it as soon I'll have to buy more plates for heavier lifting. If you're looking for a moderately priced rack, I recommend this one.
