I bought two of these shelves in used condition. One arrived in excellent condition and unfortunately, the other one had several dents and the criss-cross metal piece was bent. However, I didn’t want the hassle of returning it so I was able to bend it back into shape. For the discounted price, it suited my needs and adds a nice modern touch to my living space. It was relatively easy to assemble, though screwing the wooden shelves into place took some force. But in the end, it is pretty sturdy, level and I would recommend.

This was actually a lot bigger than I expected. I really don’t like it. My son put it together but I ended up putting it in the basement. I should have returned it.

For the price, the shelf is nicer than expected. It seems sturdy and the shelves offer quite a bit of room. It is tall and wide at the base so take note of the dimensions. I’m personally using it as a plant stand.Regarding the reviews— my husband agreed the instructions were pretty useless. He is a carpenter so assembling for him wasn’t an issue but he did have to stop and double check his work a few times lol

I really love this shelf! I originally thought that we would keep it on our main floor as it is certainly attractive enough to garner compliments, but we really needed more storage in our bedroom, and now I get to enjoy it every day in there. This is the empty photograph, and I really am able to fit a lot of books on there! The bottom shelf allows you to stash books three deep, the next shelf two, and then single stacks for the next shelves - along with room for some knick-knacks. It is a great shelf that I love the ladder like style and open back. It looks great in our bedroom!

This bookcase looks even better in person. It feels extremely sturdy and substantial, both the frame and the shelves. There's a bit of assembly involved, more than I was expecting honestly, but it's all fairly straightforward. It might take you 20 to 30 minutes depending on your skill level. I'm quite happy with it.
