The first rod was worn through to metal in multiple places. The replacement was scratched, but not as bad. The main problem with the 2nd was the threads that would not screw into the fan.

We had to get an extension rod for the ceiling fan in my office since the ceiling is 20 feet high. This 72inch one was perfect. It's very durable and strong. Plus the nickel color matched my ceiling fan I got. Definitely recommend.

Kudos to Hunter for providing the exact name of the metal trim color (Noble Bronze) on the fan box allowing for a perfect match with the drop rod. The rod is good quality and installed easily.
