Huntley Equestrian Custom Fit Premium Leather Half Chaps
Ultra soft, imported Brazilian full grain leather provides an immediate custom fit along with flexibility and stability. Huntley's half chap design focuses on delivering a custom tall boot look with the convenience of easy on and off access of half chaps. The top line was carefully designed to reflect a "Tall" look near the knee by using a high-cut profile. The outer stretch panel is made of genuine nylon elastic to provide a closely contoured, snug fit. Reinforced inner leg is double layered with genuine suede leather lining for maximum grip and durability. Features include Outside YKK heavy duty black zipper that zips from bottom to top, Snap tabs at the top to reinforce the snug fit, Upper swagger tab and metal pendant, Imported Brazilian full grain leather contoured skirt over the instep, 3 ply thread used for all stitching.

Cleaning & Care for Fine Leather
- Clean off dirt, sweat, and hair with a clean towel.
- Carefully dampen a sponge or towel with water.
- Squeeze excess water out of the sponge or towel
- Gently clean each piece of leather with a glycerin soap or saddle soap.
- Wipe off excess soap with a clean towel, resulting in a buff shine.
- Store leather in a climate controlled environment, away from dust.
How to Measure for Half Chaps
- Measure around the widest part of your calf (Over breeches or jeans) for the width.
- Measure from the floor to the back of your knee (Barefoot) for the height.

I can barely squeeze my bare calves into these even though the size chart says M should fit with room to spare. L would be too big and MT too tall. Lots of pinching in these and need compression socks to squeeze them on. I'm hoping they will wear in and stretch as they are stiff with little give.

At this price, the leather should not actually hurt. They say it's real, but I do not trust it enough to spend hours trying to work it into some semblance of comfort. I have never bought something that is real leather that feels like this. I am short. Ordered a short. Received a short. The length is accurate and it's normal for boots to hit me high. I do need to get them broken in, so they don't dig into me. If you are tall enough to totally clear the top, maybe you would like these.

Overall I like them a lot. Very attractive and do everything they are supposed to. The one design flaw is that the zippers are exactly in the middle of the back of your calf and start at the bottom... It definitely takes a little limbering up to position both of your hands' fingertips there to get the zipper started. After the 3rd day I got used to it, but if you have flexibility limitations, be ware.

These half chaps are a very good quality and very comfortable. They run very true to size but remember they do stretch so don't order too big. I was able to wear these the very first day and the feel was amazing. They truly look like tall boots when paired with paddock boots.

My daughter loves her new custom fit half chaps. They are so sleek and fit like a glove. They dropped about a 1/2 inch which was perfect. The leather is so soft and everyone at the barn was asking where we purchased them. Ordering and shopping was very easy. Love this product and highly recommend.

Finally, half chaps that fit my weird legs. I have very developed calves, but "tie in" at the knee, so any half chaps that fit my calves would gape at the top. My left calf is also a full half-inch bigger than my right.The stretch panel on these is good enough to adapt to my shape without making my calves feel like they're in a vise. The leather is soft and comfortable from first wearing, and they really do pass as boots at the local level (although you will need to work to get a good shine on them). One sizing note: I am 17" from sole to back of the knee, which I wouldn't consider "tall," but I wound up getting the medium tall size and they are perfect.
