I used this to replace the shank on my equalizer hitch. Holes aligned perfectly. Seems like a solid product. The welds are clean. With a 14,000 pound tow rating, I do not foresee any problems.

I bought a Reese 49912 8000 lb equalizing hitch to use with my enclosed trailer and Lexus GX460 but the shank hung too low and flipping it over would not position it at the right height. I tried to contact Reese but their support is nonexistent. They don’t answer emails and you will be on hold until 5PM eastern and then transferred to a voicemail that is full! So I ordered this as it was “like new” for $55, a little more for new. It was compatible with my Reese system and solved my problem! I will save the OEM shank for when I get a bigger truck for towing.
