This part suffers from two wear spots on this style deck. The wear is due to the design, not the part or material it's made of. Periodic replacement is necessary and this was a perfect fit and the deck is working perfectly.

Clutch would not disengage. Watched a couple how to videos and got it done in like 30 minutes maybe less.

Perfect match for my 42 inch Craftsman lawn tractor. This part allows the blades to engage and, more importantly, disengage. It took about an hour to do the entire job. There are some videos online that show you the steps to make the repair.

Mower blades wouldn't disengage on my Craftsman riding mower. I inspected the deck, and noticed a groove/notch had been worn in this plate, which kept the roller finger from disengaging the blades. Replaced this part, and the blades will now disengage when they're supposed to do so.
