Installed this myself on our Husqvarna YTH24K48. Not complicated but needed my son-in-law pulling the spring from the back of the tractor while I hooked the spring onto the frame from underneath. I don't have a tractor lift, or a spring puller and not sure a puller woulda helped from underneath anyway. We straightened out a nice thick coat hanger, put a hook on the end and fished it through from the back of the tractor to connect it to the spring. Then the son-in-law PULLED! Coat hangers are the best tool ever invented. LOL!Spring matched the broken original exactly and the drive system is good as new. Mechanic woulda probably soaked me $150 to do this. That's a LOT of beer money!

Installation is a bit of a challenge, but I figured out a way to get it done. Mower back in service.

as stated, part worked perfectly. my only issue was with installation i had to make a tool to install the spring. be aware without a spring pulling tool you will never get the the spring to hook on to the frame!

Finding where this went was almost as hard as installing it. With that said, this is not the fault of the spring. So far so good.

The Clutch Return Spring broke on my 1997 Craftsman Lawn Tractor which has a hydrostatic transmission and 15.5 hp engine. The spring which was part number 55 on my parts diagram shows the replacement part number as 105709X. When I looked up that part it had been updated to the Husqvarna Return Spring part number 532105709. I ordered that part and it was an exact replacement for my original broken spring. I installed the new spring on my lawn tractor and it works just fine. Couldn't be happier.
