I’ll be honest, my fishing experience doesn’t stretch much past the seafood section at the supermarket. But with a real trip lined up this summer, I knew I’d need every bit of help I could get. I figured trying out this green fishing light ahead of time wouldn’t hurt, so I plugged it into my trusty battery generator. No surprises there, it fired right up and my backyard lit up like a local stadium. This little light packs more punch than I expected. Didn’t even look straight at it (I’ve learned that lesson before), but wow, my eyes were seeing bright spots for a few minutes. It’s seriously powerful for something so small. I haven’t made it out on the water with it yet, but if it attracts fish anywhere near as well as it blinded me, those fish don’t stand a chance. I’ll update if I end up reeling in something that didn’t come from a grocery store. If you’re thinking about plugging this into your truck or generator, I can confirm it works with no fuss. For someone who’s new to fishing gadgets, it was super easy to get going. Five stars from a rookie hoping to upgrade from frozen fillets to the real deal by the end of summer.

This light seems to have good build quality and it extremely bright in and out of the water. Be careful at night looking into it as it will hurt. It functions as it should and brought in bugs that brought in smaller fish then on the chain it went. This isn’t going to make you catch fish but it did seem to help get more to the dock at night and give me a chance when fishing was slow. Compared to others I’ve looked at, this light is a good value for the money, nice long cord and multiple ways to power it. Cigarette lighter plug or clampsTo the battery.

I haven't had a chance to take this fishing due to the cruddy weather in my area, but I have done some testing at the house. Submerged in a cooler of water to keep it from overheating, I tested for water ingress and brightness. This light is super bright in clear water. After 4 hours of continuous use and submersion, the light didn't have any water ingress but did have some condensation on the inside of the bulb. There wasn't enough water in there for me to be concerned about it, but that is something to keep an eye on. If the manufacturer puts a small amount of dessicant in the light, that should solve that problem. Over all I am impressed with the build quality; it feels stout, and the wiring appears to be above average. I'm also very pleased with the alligator clips, as the wires are soldered to the clip instead of just being crimped. I'm going to lend this light to my uncle, who is the best fisherman I've ever met, to test its main functionality (attracting fish). Once I get a report from him, I'll update my review, but so far I'm impressed with this light for the price.

This underwater fishing light works great, and is made from quality materials, with precision manufacturing. It has a sealed light tube, that has an interesting arrangement of LEDs, that are laid out in a helix around the barrel of the light tube. The overall effect creates a very even and very bright light all around the tube. The cord is over 16' and comes with two different ends for power, which screw into the light cable by way of a water-tight coupler, that screws shut, and is very easy to use. One of the power ends is a pair of alligator clamps, one negative, and one positive. The other is a 12V socket plug, like you would find in a car or boat. I used the socket, as I have a portable power supply that has a 12V socket output, and it makes it easy to test by the pool. I lowered the light 11' down, and it had no problems. In the pool, it lighted up the pool like daylight . . . if daylight had a greenish tint. Out of the pool, the light is blindingly bright, and very green. While there may be cheaper fishing light alternatives here on Amazon, they won't be as nice.Five Star 12V Green Night Fishing Light

I've gotten into using green submersible lights, they really do enhance your night fishing, just give it time. Green works well, to draw in the super small planktons (even in freshwater), that attract the minnows, then the slightly bigger fish, and eventually, monsters. This particular lighting unit comes with both clamps and cigarette lighter accessory type plug, for direct 12V DC current. This is a SLIM unit, but has very high density of number of LEDs, so a lot of light comes out of a package that's just about the size of a big hot dog. Enough cable attached to get down a few feet, which is usually all you need. With smaller profile, it's much easier to store this light unit. At 100W rating, it's got a very healthy amount of light. If you're in clear water, your light ring is easily going to be 20 ft. In cloudy water your glow really shrinks, depending on how cloudy it is. In the worst conditions, you'll have a glow ring about 5 ft. Even my 200w unit struggles in the real cloudy/muddy waters. At 100w, you can power this with a decent 12v lithium, lead acid, lifepo4, marine battery for hours without too much worry of killing your battery. Always good to use a dedicated battery so that you don't kill your motor starter battery. But with 100w, you can run off your main battery without too much worry, assuming you have about 100ah battery.I run this light off a 10ah lawnmower sized battery that lasts a couple hours, when I need to keep it lightweight on the kayak.
