We love these pad savers. Two of my children play clarinet and these extend the life of the pads by absorbing excess moisture when stored inside each main section.

Curious about the warning on the label that it might hold carcinogenic chemicals. I therefore do not leave it inside the clarinet, but I wasn't intending to anyway. I just use it to clean it.That being said, I found the smaller brush needs to be handled gently in the upper clarinet piece, as it sometimes catches on the inner bits.

My plateau key clarinet has tone pads similar to a saxophone, and they can accumulate moisture and become sticky. When I clean and store my instrument after playing, I insert these pad savers to wick away excess moisture while stored in the case. It seems to work well and I spend less time cleaning sticky pads.

They are easy to use, adjusting easily with the push of a finger and fit without fuss in the molded compartments of the clarinet case. They dry fast after washing.

Before getting this, I used only the little fabric swab and string to wipe my clarinet after using, but I knew my instrument was still being put away wet. These seemed reasonably priced and they fit well.

I have a hard plastic Bb clarinet, and I bought these pad savers for it. Turns out, plastic clarinets don't need pad savers. If you are planning on buying pad savers, make sure they will be for a wood clarinet. Some people have even told me that they don't use them for their wood clarinets because they leave lint in the bore. These really arent even required, but if you think you need them, go ahead, they're cheap enough.
