H&Y RevoRing Q&A Part 1
1. Q: Why can’t I mount the RevoRing / RevoRing lens filter on my camera lens?
A: Possible reasons may include:
a. When holding the texture outer ring and rotating the knurled outer ring, it does not rotated to the minimum diameter state.
b. When tightening the variable retractable spring to the minimum state, it may not be consistently gripped and it loosens before mount on the lens.
c. The threaded portion of the RevoRing/RevoRing filter does not align with the threaded portion inside the lens during installation.
d. When selecting and purchasing RevoRing lens filters /RevoRing, there may be a lack of consideration for reserving space for the camera's thread sizes
(For example: 67mm camera lens should choose 58-77mm RevoRing lens filter. 58mm camera lens should choose 46-62mm RevoRing lens filter.)
(For example: 58mm and 67mm camera lens should choose 52-72mm RevoRing step up ring, 46mm camera lens should choose 37-49mm RevoRing step up ring.)
2. Q: Will the retractable spring part of the RevoRing/RevoRing filter harm people?
A: Generally, the use of any lens filters or accessories in non-violent situations will not cause any harm. Please use it normally.
3. Q: Why does the RevoRing/RevoRing lens filter fall off during use?
A: If the lens filter is constantly falling off, the following reasons may exist:
a. You haven't tightened the entire filter onto the lens.
b. When the photographer is constantly in motion, RevoRing/RevoRing filters are not suitable for continuous attachment to the lens.

H&Y RevoRing Q&A Part 2
4. Q: What's the minimum stop of the RevoRing VND+CPL filter?
A: 1.5 stop. "MIN" on the filter represents 1.5 stop reduction.
5. Q: Can the RevoRing VND+CPL filter stay on the camera all the time?
A: It's advisable not to do this. To prolong the lifespan of the spring inside the filter, it is recommended to remove the RevoRing/RevoRing integrated filter from the camera lens after each use.
6. Q: Can the RevoRing VND+CPL filter be disassembled as one single filter separately?
A: No, but the RevoRing VND+CPL filter's function can be used separately.
7. Q: Will the RevoRing VND+CPL filter easily come off from the camera?
A: No. it won't. When we design the variable retracting blades, we knew we had to match the strength of a regular filter attached to a lens. Coupled with the force of the retracting blades and independent threading, one final turn ensures that the REVORING is securely mounted onto your lens.
8. Q: Is it easy for the RevoRing VND+CPL filter to get stuck on the camera and difficult to remove?
A: No, as mentioned in our previous response, the adjustable step ring of the RevoRing/RevoRing integrated filter is primarily locked in place by the expansion force of the spring, so there is no issue of it getting stuck on the lens. So far, no customers have reported such a problem with our filters.

H&Y RevoRing Q&A Part 3
9. Q: RevoRing filters can potentially cause vignetting or X pattern effects?
A: - First, let's talk about the issue of vignetting. Vignetting occurs due to the thickness of the filter, but as long as the lens filter is large enough, vignetting can be addressed. H&Y RevoRing/RevoRing integrated filters are wide-angle structure design and the diameters are much larger than conventional screw-in filters on the market. This is specifically done to avoid vignetting, so you don't need to worry too much about this problem.
- Regarding the X cross pattern issue: Currently, all variable ND filters available on the market, when used with wide-angle lenses and set to their maximum level, tend to appear X-pattern. The extent of this phenomenon varies with different brands, which is inherently a drawback of wide-angle lenses and is related to the optical refraction design principles of the lens.
Especially with ultra-wide-angle lenses, the issue becomes more pronounced, and no camera equipment manufacturer can solve it! It is generally recommended to keep ND within 5-stop range for lenses with a focal length between 16-35mm, avoid setting ND level too high. You can address the need for higher stops by stacking RevoRing magnetic ND filters on the RevoRing lens filter.
- H&Y offers a perfect exclusive solution, which is to use magnetic ND16 neutral density filter (transforming the 1-5 stop range to 5-10 stops) or an ND400 neutral density filter (transforming the 1-5 stop to 9-13 stops). This allows you to achieve high-quality photography results by simply adjusting the lower range of 1-5 stops, effectively eliminating the issue of X cross that typically occur in higher stops.
10. Q: Will the spring retractable design of the revoring filter cause scratches or damage to the camera lens?
A: The slot height of our variable filter adapter ring is 0.5 mm deeper than the thread groove end of the lens on the market. Therefore, no matter how you assemble the variable adapter ring onto the lens thread groove, it will never touch the lens. H&Y's RevoRing technology has been on the market for three years, selling tens of thousands of products globally and there has never been any consumer feedback mentioning that it would scratch the lens surface.
11. Q: When using RevoRing VND CPL filter, I hear a metallic sound at the connection point between the RevoRing and the lens. Does this indicate an issue with the product?
A: The junction between the RevoRing VND CPL filter and the lens itself is an adjustable adapter step ring, the adjustable adapter ring is a retractable spring-loaded slot structure. It is normal to hear the sound of metal friction and spring rebound during the assembly process.
12. Q: Can RevoRing VND CPL filter be used on unconventional lenses (camera lenses with convex-shaped glass) ?
A: No, it can't.
