These hoses came with couplers already assembled which was ready to use, as they matched the I/M style I already have. No leaking or difficulty locking and unlocking.

Here's the good and the (very few) bad things to report.The good:Soft and easily flexible.Outside covering won't scratch or mar surfaces it brushes over.Solid connections that do not leak!The (only somewhat) bad:The end fittings are aluminum and not brassThe female end fitting is somewhat difficult to use in that I had to release pressure from the male end of the hose before I could disconnect the female end.All in all, I'd say this is a good air hose. It does what it's supposed to do. If I continue to dislike the end fittings, I'll just replace them with some I like better. Perhaps they just need some breaking in?
