About this item

  • Authentic HydroMaxx PVC Pipe from MaxxFlex will always have the MaxxFlex or HydroMaxx name on the pipe or be labeled as such.
  • Works Great for Pools, Spas, Water Gardens and other applications. Recommended for use in wet conditions and/or where quick pressurization is desired.
  • Smooth Inside and Outside - allows unrestricted flow. Designed to be glued into Schedule 40 fittings
  • ATTENTION - Not for use in dead-head situations where there is constant (Static) pressure in the pipe
  • Very flexible - ideal for working in confined areas. Resistant to Chemicals - Crush and Impact Resistant

This Flexible PVC Pipe, commonly referred to as "flex tubing", "spa tubing" and "flexible PVC" is perfect for use with pools, spas, hot tubs, water gardening (ponds, waterfalls, fountains), aquariums and fish hatcheries, irrigation, farming and gardening, sprinkler lines and other applications where the utilization of rigid pipe is either not practical or not desirable. Strong and long-lasting, this hose is ultra-flexible, and can easily be routed in any direction necessary without the use of multiple fittings, thus simplifying plumbing layouts and the installation of your job. It can be used in areas where space (for fittings) is limited and/or in situations that simply will not accommodate rigid pipe. It is sunlight, ozone and mildew resistant (although we do not recommend installations in continual sunlight).

Our Flexible PVC Pipe easily conforms to almost any contour, and experiences less heat loss than comparable copper or steel pipe. A rigid internal PVC spiral resists crushing and impact issues, and this PVC pipe can be used for above-ground or under-ground installations (with proper cushioning). It can also be used as a conduit to run protected electrical, cable, phone or fiber optic lines and can also be used as a protective liner for softer hoses or tubes.

Trimming or cutting is much simpler than with rigid PVC pipe (it can be cut with PVC pipe cutters, a standard hack saw, a carpenters saw, etc.) and it accepts standard Schedule 40 fittings. It can be easily glued using any good commercially available glue for flexible or rigid PVC. It eliminates back-pressure caused by sharp turns created by multiple fittings, which increases the efficiency of your system and lowers your overall operating/energy cost. Each fitting eliminated with this highly-flexible pipe is one less fitting that can fail and cause your system to leak. It also coils easily for storage and transport.

I am using this to connect a solar water heater panel to my above ground pool. This piece is connecting the panel from the filter. This leak is about 2ft before the intake to the panel. It has been installed less than 6 weeks! I bought this to replace other flexible pvc that I had been using for over 10 years! I don't have a clue as to how this leak just sprang up. I really don't understand why this has happened! Must be cheap flexible pvc that cost me well over $200 for a 100ft roll.Update:After contacting the seller, I was first offered a patch kit. My concern with that was the fact of the tube being so new and the worries of more leaks to come. Even they said that a pinhole like this should never happen. Without hesitation, I was sent another 100ft roll. That is GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE! Don't be afraid to purchase this product. I think this was just one of those things that happen sometimes.

Got this 100' roll, for about what 15' would cost locally, if you could get someone to help you at one of the big box stores! Great quality to.

It is leaking three spots. I should buy regular PVC pipes.Does anyone know how to fixt a leak?

I have had this pipe for less than a year. I use it in a low pressure, 50 psi, application. I repaired a leak last week and have another leak this week. I was using thin well line for 15 years prior to this and never had an issue. Not good.

This stuff is fantastic. It is somewhat awkward to unravel and place/bury, but that is simply the nature of a hose this burly - it is heavy and takes a little while laid out flat to lose its memory of prior bends. It transfers a lot of water a long meandering distance for our pond and creek complex, with far less loss to frictional head than we would have had with rigid PVC making all of the bends that would be necessary. It is worth mentioning that the tightest bend radius it comfortably makes while keeping itself pretty much circular in cross section seems to be about 180 degrees over 22-23" of lateral travel (you could make a ~6' section into a full circle with an outer radius of ~22.5"- discovered when making air distribution manifolds for 55gallon drum sand and gravel filters).I also fully trust it buried. During the time I was still tinkering with our system, it was laying above ground all over our property for a few months, and even a ~180lb person standing on it doesn't appreciably crimp it. It also cuts easily with a standard handsaw, and can be drilled through relatively easily if that's needed. It does seem to glue quite well in standard schedule 40 PVC fittings (meaning the outer diameter is true), but may take some wrestling to dry fit it prior to gluing (the rubbery material of the hose is pretty high friction when dry, but it slides in well when the glue lubricates the joint). The glue that came with it seems to work well too.We also have 100' of the 2" flexible PVC pipe by the same company in constant use, and it performs just as well, and everything mentioned above applies pretty much equally to it, aside from it being even a bit heavier.

Very good quality hose. I like this one better than the kind with the ridges all around the outside.
