The candles are good and burn well but not so effective against bugs. We had many mosquitos and moths getting so close to it and get stuck in the wax. So, obviously they don't hate the smell.

I bought these to use around my pool and outside areas. The problem is, they're so tiny (like tea lights), that even a gentle breeze will blow out the flame. Worthless.

I got them for my patio mosquitos... the citronella candles has a fresh, citrusy aroma that adds a comfortable smell to the backyard, BBQ family get-toghteres, Love them...

The candles are very small and do not stay lit. Concerned that they might not actually be citronella.

Nice little candles but the scent is not very powerful. Not sure how effective they are at repelling mosquitos. Time will tell as we get more into mosquito season. They do seem to last a long time though.

This is an excellent product, it's a mild lemon smell and it repels bugs immediately. It works great in my office as well for fruit flys.

The scent is nice and smells like citronella but it’s not that strong to be effective. I’ve looked at other decorative citronella candles in home decor stores and they smelled citrusy but not like citronella, and these definitely do so that’s a plus. Perhaps it is their size that keeps them from giving a good dose of citronella? I expected a concentrated punch of it to come from a candle of that size in order to be effective... in other words they aren’t smelly enough.I like that they are in votive holders already so they don’t leave a blob of wax behind and they burn for a long time, they look great in the ceramic lanterns I have scattered in the sitting area on our patio, so that’s a plus too.Unfortunately, they just weren’t enough to help repel the buzzing biters in the sitting area. I bought a citronella plant and it does a better job on its own...I like them for outdoor candles but not fit mosquitoes.
