The antenna is sturdy, and increases my radio range decently. It has been a very good replacement antenna for my Uniden BC125at.

I purchased this antenna so that I'd have better reception while moving around outside. Installation was simple and easy, no stress indeed. A great product at a good price... love it!

My Cobra HH50WXST gets OK reception and transmission with the OE antenna, but this one is a huge improvement. First, it's almost exactly twice as long as the rubber duckie that the Cobra comes with. That, and its proper loading, make it much better at doing the job antennas are designed to do -- transmit and receive. The antenna is light and flexible, making the handheld radio no heavier than as originally equipped. The flexing ends make it less unwieldy, too, given its length.A side benefit of the antenna is that it also improves the radio's weather band reception. Whereas I had static on all 3 of the channels I could receive before, now all are crystal-clear.Given the reasonable price and solid design, if you're looking to buy a hand-held CB radio this year, make sure one of these is in your cart before you send in your order. It's worth it.

Does the job. Wanted to expand the listen zone of my Bearcat scanner inexpensively, and it seems to do it.

Huge difference in range. At least double the range in my Uniden PRO401HH.

If you want to use this antenna for receiving that is fine but transmitting it is in the 28Mhz band that is Ham radio. If you're looking for an antenna to transmit on CB radio this is not the antenna you want to use.

Received and installed this antenna with immediate positive results. I use the BC125AT Uniden/Bearcat scanner in a mountainous region. This past summer forest and wild fires were close. I wanted to monitor the fire reports and crews and have the latest updated information. The stock antenna worked but distant radio traffic was a bit hard to pickup. This antenna seems to receive clearer and farther, so out of the box, with a few hours use I can say there is a big difference from the stock equipped rubber-flexible antenna. Now, this antenna is longer and is LESS Flexible than the one the radio came with. The tip of the antenna is very flexable, while the center is rigid. Closer to the base it flexes, but I would say "less rigid" than the center portion. Using a belt clip for the radio, the antenna is at about my shoulder level and feels like it is a bit "in the way". You just have to get used to it.The radio will primarily be in ranch trucks and vehicles and in the house, shop and barn so I don't care about the antenna length so much, as if it were permanently on my belt. All in all, this could be a 5 star product as time will tell. The value for the dollar is definately worth it.Best of luck and I hope you enjoy your purchase as much as I am.
