I bought these because I saw a video of a Japanese guy who used this type of metal bead, and I assumed it was the same kind of metal he was using. After a few months, it just didn't seem to remove stains (like splashes of cooking oil or dirt) or smells (like from exercise/bicycling clothes). So I just went back to using laundry detergent (I found some non-scented stuff online). I'm leaving two stars instead of one just in case there is another use for this item besides laundry that is good for someone to use.

I cannot find a mesh bag to use this for laundry and can't return it. If anyone knows of a mesh bag with small enough holes I would be grateful for that information. Otherwise, I've just wasted a bit of money.

Added to a mesh bag and threw in with washload of clothes. It helps to clean them and I just hang it to dry when done.

If you're hoping to use this for chemistry projects such as grignard reactions or alcohol drying reactions you're going to have a hell of a time getting it started its completely coated with magnesium oxide.

Each beads are different sizes. Some of them are too small and not quite like a ball.
