A Richly Appointed Performer's Instrument Ibanez's AE295 acoustic-electric blends rich appointments with smart performance features to create a visually and tonally compelling instrument. Its comfortably sculpted AE-series body is built from warm, lightweight okoume and constructed using Standard X-M top bracing and a dovetail neck/body joint to engender rich sustain up the entirety of the instrument. The AE295's Comfort Grip nyatoh wood neck with rounded-edge katalox fingerboard plays great and looks stunning in its full-length vine inlay. Liked the sound and quality. For the money it's pretty nice. The tuning pegs (especially the D string peg) seems to slip and get outta tune quick. I'll have to experiment more when I change strings as I feel like I'm constantly turning the D peg (3rd peg top row farthest from Playing gand) to get it back in tune.

Can't beat it for a parlor . . .I have a more expensive Larrivee parlor that I love, but I ordered this little guy as a knockaround. . . . nope . . . too beautiful to knockaround. The action was a little high out of the box (easily fixable), but still relatively easy to play. Holds tuning very well. The tone is better than my Larrivee, and I expect it only to get better with age. The okoume wood is uniquely gorgeous, as is the vine inlay on the fingerboard. Unusual for a guitar in this price range, both the saddle and nut are real bone, which positively affects sustain and tone. I'm sorry the gentleman before me was disappointed, but if you're looking at this little guitar, look elsewhere for reviews; his is anomalous.
