I bought this guitar for my husband for Christmas. He has a lot of guitars. He absolutely love this one. The sound is amazing. He loves the shorter neck. N

The Gb10em has become my favorite guitar. I have a number expensive hollows, semi hollows, as well as the Japanese GB10. I prefer the EM over the Japan model. Great for playing unplugged. The woods used for the EM are much lighter in weight and feel less dense. As a result it sounds and feels more alive acoustically. It almost has the same volume projection as a not so good acoustic guitar. I can feel the body and neck vibrate when playing. On the other hand, my japanese model sounds great plugged in, but it is dead acoustically. I may have criticized harshly or questioned my purchase if I did not own the Japan model. I view the guitar as a different animal instead of a cheap substitute for the expensive model. Maybe I got lucky and ended up with a special one. I use it for traditional jazz using Big Stubby and sometimes a felt pick.

Its a great guitar, mid-sized body is really easy to hold, intonation is pretty accurate, tone is AMAZING.These pickups mellow-jello, just right for jazz. Its a lot of guitar for the money. Only negatives were that a couple of the fret ends were sharp, needed a touch of sanding, and the the pick-guard bracket had come unglued from the bottom face of the p.g. I bought a replacement, online, that attaches with a screw throughthe pick guard. Otherwise, I can't put it down. We are in the world series of love.

The quality of this guitar is excellent with no issues! I usually have my guitars PLEK, but out of the box there is no string buzz. For professional jazz players, the woods used may not be as desirable compared to the woods used on the more expensive Ibanez GB models. But being mainly a rock player, I am glad to have this less expensive option. With a depth of 2 and 5/8", it is more comfortable to hold than my es-175 and wider than my es-335.I have played for more than 30 years and I have 20 guitars.

Bad quality. for the price is more like a toy. Bad quality control. The floating bridge pickup was touching the strings and the pick guard missing screw. i have other Ibanez guitars very well made.
