It’s good for smaller people but for full size people the pickups are positioned so there’s no space for your fingers. I like the small neck but the lack of space for the picking hand was a deal breaker for me.

Great bass for beginners and pros. I'm a 45 year veteran bassist, and was looking for a good travel bass and this one definitely filled the bill!! Easy to stow on an airplane, easy to potentially carry on a motorcycle. Lightweight and very organic in tone!

I play guitar and wanted to dabble in bass without spending a lot of money. In addition, it had to be a short-scale lefty. The Ibanez fills the bill and is a well-made guitar into the bargain.

The mikro is a blast to play - the shorter neck is great for smaller hands; it's also a little bit lighter and fits better. The tone is really good for an inexpensive base and the pickup knobs and treble let you mess around with the sound quite a bit. Nothing to fancy but solid, stays in tune and a great little bass

This lightweight beauty is sooo much easier to play than a full sized bass. Ever notice how an ordinary electric bass seems to be made for people with gigantic and powerful hands? This one was made for the rest of us. And the tone from the two pickups is awesome. It will throb, growl and pling with the best of then. As a lifelong casual guitarist, I have really fallen in love with playing the low notes thanks to this model. My bass playing has improved drastically because it’s possible to reach the frets without having to stretch or do hand acrobatics. It’s a game changer!

For a guy was small hands I love the small scale basses. Used to play offender mustang years ago and this thing feels about the same. Came with decent strings and sounds good right out of the box so would be great for young kids.

Exactly what I wanted! The setup out of the box was dead nuts. Low action, perfect intonation, no fret buzz anywhere on the neck. The scale length and neck dimensions are almost exactly the same as my strat so picking it up and playing was effortless.I personally love the jangly sound that you get the round wound strings and the strings being under less tension. I actually have the same Ibanez GSR bass in full scale length too. I muuuuuch prefer this little one because the fret spacing is so close to most electric guitars.I plan on swapping out the pickups and electronics for a fender PJ setup. Tone controls are a little strange to me... I tend to just crank everything all the way up and adjust tone with my amp more so than with the knobs. I bought a used TC electronic BG250 2x8 bass amp. 500 bucks grand total for a really nice bass setup :-) buy a decent amp too! A nice bass through a cheap amp will still sound like shit.
