This replacement ice maker is an exact fit for my Whirlpool french door refrigerator (w/ icemaker in frig). After watching a DIY video, I was able to quickly and easily replaced the unit.

Perfect fit and fixed my sensor issue that was preventing unit from making ice. Sensor is built into icemaker and only way to replace it is to replace the whole assembly.

My ice maker motor failed. I installed the new maker, and the motor runs fine and finds the correct positions when running the tests, however it only makes ice part of the time. It has been getting more consistent the longer the ice maker has been in the fridge, but it has been nearly a month and cannot keep pace with making enough ice to meet the demand compared to my old maker.
