These adorable ice packs are geared towards children, but I can’t help using them myself because they are so cute. They arrive empty, so you must fill them with water and insert the plug and freeze them to use. I haven’t had any problems with leakage yet. They are quite thin, maybe a half an inch, which makes them handy to slip on top of or below your food in your lunchbox without taking much room. I do recommend using two in your lunchbox because of their size and to make sure it stays cool for a longer amount of time. The less insulated your lunchpail, the quicker they will melt. They’re easy to clean, just wash them and warm soapy, water and pat dry. Place them back in the freezer for the next time you use them.

Of course I saw this cute little car ice pack, and I had to get it for my kids. This ice pack is a thin as one of my other ones, but for some reason it doesn’t get as cold nor does it stay frozen as long. This ice pack ended up being 10° warmer than my other ice pack straight out of the freezer. I’m just really mind-boggled and wondering how this is possible. This ice pack arrived with some powder inside and needed to be filled with water. The plug was so difficult to remove. I had to use pliers and it ended up messing up the rim of the plug a little bit, but it still ended up being functional because I had to put a cap over it anyways. I still use this ice pack for my kids on short days, but I also put a second ice pack that I purchased of my better branded ice pack. On hot days I stay away from this ice pack completely because I want my kids food to remain cold all day. Since this ice pack is cute and pretty lightweight could see it working for kids that are doing a half-day, maybe preschool or TK.

These are handy cold packs for lunch boxes and more, If they were a bit thicker, the cold would last longer. Still they don't take up much room and kid will love them.
