You need to have a run capacitor on your system to use this. So low cost mini fridges may not be able to use these. To replace the PTC relay and reduce starting current on your mini fridge get the Supco RCO210, 410, or 810. the 210 is for the smallest fridges.

I used this to be able to start / re-start and air conditioner for my camper with a power inverter. Works great because it holds the extra juice needed to start and restart the compressor.
