ICOM makes arguably the best marine radios in the business, and this one lives to the same high standard. My only complaint is the inability to remove connector wires for the NMEA network, loudspeaker, and optional GPS antenna coming from the back of the radio. Unless you do a flush mount, they're exposed to the weather and I doubt the radio would appreciate water in the connectors. Maybe ICOM could comment on that.

Awesome VHF radio - installed 2 months ago and have used extensively, even crossing Lake Michigan. Reception is excellent and sound is crisp and clear in my opinion and noted by several experienced boating friends. Originally was going to go with next model down (M324G), but glad I went with upgraded model. Noise cancelling feature is amazing!Also, didn't originally know that you can set up to receive transmissions through mic (along with speaker), which is a nice feature when underway and noisy.Not a big fan of the Flush Mount Kit offered with it - pain in the but to get screwdriver/hands around to tighten well.
