Flattened the threads when pulling harmonic balancer in on my 5.3 LM7 after one use when pushing the balancer in using a ratchet by hand. Absolutely pathetic. It's pretty cheap...but just go get all thread and two nuts. They're selling you junk any ways...so you might as well make your own tool and have 2 nuts to be able to back it put, anyways.Skip paying Amazon or ICT.

Lined up balancer by hand and pressed on then used this tool to slowly pull on fully. Once it was close enough, took the old balancer bolt, torqued to 240, then installed the new bolt. Easy peasy. Nice to have since it was hard to find the correct loaner install tool locally.

Worked exactly like they said it would. Good product & worth the money.

If there was one thing I could change about this. I’d add an socket head cap on the end. After installing my balancer the all thread piece screwed in to the crank was tight and I had to work at getting it out. A socket head cap would make me feel a lot more at ease knowing I had a way to get it back out.

This tool worked great, I went to the hardware store, grabbed 10 washers, and added them to the stud as it pulled the balancer on. I grabbed the ICT billet Flexplate holder, too. You’ll need to put the beans to the bolt to suck it down, and it held steady. Threads still look great afterwards. I gave it a coat of copper never seize before. Great price and function. Win/win

Installed a stock replacement AC Delco Balancer onto a 5.3l LSX. Thread the stud into the crank snout until it bottoms out, lube up the exposed stud threads with grease, lube the washers and nut it comes with and tighten the nut to press the Balancer on. Worked great, thanks.
