I couldn't resist 4 ionizers for 20 bucks and I had a few ideas where to use them. At this point, I have tried them in a small water closet (toilet), a small bedroom, the kitchen and even a compact car. The short answer is, I can't detect any benefit of using them. Read on for more details.The toilet seemed an obvious spot with the night light being a potential bonus. Unfortunately, with the light set to blue and plugged into an outlet in the toilet, it shot a bright white light upward right into my eyes even when set to blue. So, turned the light off and waited for the air cleaning/deodorizing but couldn't determine any benefit.On to the kitchen where I plugged in 2 units, one on either side of the stove. I cook a lot and have a carbon filtering exhaust system, but it doesn't do anything for lingering smells on surfaces. Well, these ionizers haven't helped there either.Next, onto the small spare bedroom where I plugged in all four of the ionizers and left them in the closed room for four days. Surely, there would be some detectable freshness with 4 units in a closed room, but again, nothing.Lastly, I bought a used car which frankly smells pretty bad inside. I ran an extension cord and plugged all four into power and left the car for 5 days. Again, no improvement. Car detailers use ionizers to deodorize cars, but these just aren't powerful at all.If you want 4 LED night lights for not too much money, give these a look.

I plugged in all 4 in a young man's room. I plugged them in on all sides of the room. There is no noticeable sound from the unit. There is a blue light that glows, but it's not bright enough to light the room. It's been over a week, and it has so far not changed the smells in the room.

I mean seems to work it very quite and has a light, thank god cuz if not you wouldnt know this thing was on.

This iDiskk [4 Pack] Air Purifier for Home,Plug-In Negative Ion Quiet Air Ionizer seems to be working well in my walk in closet. The closet is dark and musty. I wasn't sure if it was working at first because it's quiet and has no odor. But in a day or two, my closet doesn't smell nearly as musty so it must be working. I also like the compact size so you don't notice them.

These are incredibly quiet. I ordered this set because you have the option to turn off the light. If you have room, these are easy to install and you will forget they are even there. I think they have been helping with some of the musty apartment smell.
