Got these for our montessori nursery and love them! The sounds are all gentle and natural, and everything is really well made! Very very happy with the set and would recommend.

The xylophone stick or Mallet is tiny. My baby keeps using it like a lollipop and I worry the top will just pop right off and she will choke. The tambourine has splinters where you hold it. The Castanets are held together by elastic that is fraying. I mean I guess this is what you pay forโฆ but just thought Iโd share so other parents know what theyโre getting into.

I love that the instruments are made of wood and have a very cute bear theme to them. The rain stick and clapper were instant favorites and I think little one will have fun figuring the xylophone and tambourine out. The only critique I have is, why is the music scale of the xylophone one such that you cannot play a song? For a baby banging on it, it doesn't matter too much though. Overall, love this set for baby's first exposure to playing instruments.

Generally, wooden toys are a worthwhile investent and are more apt to stand the test of time as opposed to their plastic counterparts. This set appears well crafted and all the pieces have a smooth finish. It arrives in a nice presentation box for easy gifting. I also believe in giving children toys that will stimulate their own creativity. This set, decorated with smiling bears, indroduces toddlers to the world of percussion. While all four instruments "make noise", with the possible exception of the tambourine, it is of a more muted variety and shouldn't cause issues.

It's very cute... but the tambourine broke after a week (the little part that held the cymbals in place. I also question how to clean this well and bc of the frequency I clean my baby's toys, I think the fact that it's wood means it wouldn't last long due to water damage. And I didn't realize until after I bought it, but the stick for the xylophone is a danger for my baby bc he still shoves things in his mouth. Overall very cute but not for our family for said reasons above.
