Material upgrade
Anti-corrosion: For ships going to the sea, iron products are easily damaged by the influence of sea water and sea wind. The upgraded R12H adopts aluminum alloy material and plastic spraying process as a whole, and the shell is anti-corrosion and durable.
No leakage: Due to the new design, the R12H casing is very firm and compact, which makes the R12H avoid the problem of oil leakage from the general filter.
Efficient
High-quality filter element with excellent performance, with an efficiency of over 90% for removing particles as small as 10 microns. A 10 micron filter is recommended to protect sensitive inboard, stern drive, and outboard fuel injection systems. Designed to capture the smallest particles and emulsified water in diesel.

We have now processed the inside of the tank into a mirror surface, so the coating will not fall off.
The upper and lower end covers of the filter element have now been changed to plastic, so corrosion will not occur.

Installation instruction
1. Before installation, please remove the nylon collecting bowl and filter base to lubricate the O-ring of the filter.
2. There are two inputs and two outputs. We provide two plugs for the extra two ports. If you need to use two plugs, you must install them to the filter and tighten them.
3. Before installing the filter, you must remove those plugs, stick them with Teflon tape, and then reinstall.
4. All of the above steps are very easy to operate, you'd better use the tool to install tighten.

I have now purchased 3. They are easy to install and come with two spare filters. You may need different sized nipples depending on your fuel hose size. But the filter housing is well constructed and extremely affordable.

This kit came with extra o-rings and two extra filter cartridges. I installed this to use with a 70 hp four-stroke Yamaha outboard. The only additional items I needed were a couple of feet of 3/8” ID fuel line (to connect the tank to the filter), three 13-15mm hose clamps, and two stainless steel 1/4” lag screws. The installation was quick, clean, and easy.

if you need any fitting other than what is supplied you may be disappointed.this product only ships with 3/8 straight barb fittings but I needed a 5/16 straight barb and a 3/8 90 barb fitting to fit my boat's existing fuel lines. no problem ill just scoop up the right fittings at the hardware store and call it a day. nope... could not find any 1/4' NPT fitting from my local hardware store or on Amazon that would thread properly into this filter.Unfortunately i didn't catch it before the return window ended. still unusable and have spent almost as much on sourcing parts to make it work as the product costs.contacted seller asking for the right fittings and they cannot supply them and don't seem to want to issue a refund. dissappointed

I purchased this filter to put on a 24-year old boat that hasn't been used in past 10 years. Fearing a lot of condensation in the fuel tank, I felt it prudent to filter it out. About the filter: it's well built and easy to disassemble into its 3 component parts and the fact that it comes with 2 extra filters is a plus. However, I believe there were comments about leaks. The reason is that the threads are straight-cut pipe threads and not tapered pipe threads. I purchased a 1/4" pipe tap and and there was enough material to resolve the problem. Of course I also had to purchase 2 pipe plugs and hose barb fittings to get it to work. I would buy it again but be aware you can't use it "as-is".

Solved my water in fuel problems on our dinghy motor. We were getting water in our portable tanks somehow. The water would make the motor run terrible. Hard to start, bad idle and shuts off. This fuel filter and water separator assembly is working great. The housing is aluminum and looks to be nicely powder coated. I like the idea that only the filter element has to be changed, not a whole metal cartridge that can rust out. Changing only the element saves money and resources. This unit has a very clear plastic bowl on the bottom to catch any water that may try to go thru the filter. Any water accumulated is visible thru the bowl and you can then drain that out into a container for disposal. Working wonderful for us and as you can see it is a great fit in our dinghy, not to big. I am planning on putting one in our skiff also. I would recommend this to others. It is a nice product. Thanks
